Jess brings deep executive leadership in New Zealand's primary healthcare sector, including her previous role as Chief Executive of Practice Plus. Her expertise covers strategic planning, financial management, workforce development, clinical governance, and building strong partnerships with general practices, Health NZ, iwi Māori, and other stakeholders. 

Jess is passionate about equitable, high-quality primary care and innovative models that enhance access and outcomes – her track record in transformational change and collaborative leadership aligns perfectly with Community Care’s mission.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with family, staying active through HYROX training and fitness, and maintaining strong connections within her community.

Denzel is recognised for his leadership in advancing equity, kaupapa Māori approaches, and Pacific-led models of care across the health and education sector, with experience spanning the National Hauora Coalition, the Royal New Zealand College of General Practitioners and the Auckland University of Technology. 

In this role, he will support our strategic and cultural leadership to strengthen equity as a foundational way of being within Community Care, working in partnership with teams to honour Te Tiriti and drive system wide improvements in access and outcomes for Māori, Pacific peoples, and other underserved communities.

Kia ora, talofa, I’m Denzel. Sport has always been a big part of my life, these days that looks like boxing and, at times, pretending I’m Shakira on the dance floor, a little siva here, some kanikani there, just cutting shapes. When I’m not doing that, I’m usually with my dog, Kaitiaki, or spending time with family and friends. That’s what keeps me grounded.

Richard is a specialist General Practitioner working in Mount Maunganui at The Doctors Bayfair and Papamoa. He is a GP lead, GP trainer and a fellow of both the Royal New Zealand College of GPs and the Royal College of GPs in the UK. He was an Associate Clinical Director for The Doctors Medical Centres, part of the Green Cross Health group, before moving into this role. 

He moved to Aotearoa New Zealand from the UK in 2021. In the UK he served as Local Medical Committee secretary in Herefordshire for many years and helped start the GP federation Taurus Healthcare Ltd. He has a keen interest new models of care and integrated team working. 

Richard looks to deliver strategic clinical leadership to ensure high-quality, equitable, and accessible primary health care aligned with national priorities and community needs.

He enjoys diving and fishing in the amazing seas off the Bay of Plenty.

Faye brings more than 15 years’ experience in primary care across New Zealand with a strong track record in leadership roles, most recently as a Regional Business Manager within The Doctors Medical Centres, part of the Green Cross Health group. 

Faye is a collaborative, outcome focused leader who values clear communication, fosters positive team cultures, and is committed to delivering strong patient health outcomes through thoughtful strategic planning.

Originally from the UK, Faye has proudly called New Zealand home for over 20 years.  Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her family and can often be found on the tennis court or exploring the many beautiful places Aotearoa has to offer.
